Approved as both in monotherapy and as an add-on therapy in patients with refractory epilepsy.

Indications :

- Adjunctive treatment of partial seizures in adults

- Generalized seizures of Lennox-Gastaut syndrome in pediatric

- Migraines - Neuropathic pain

Dosage and administration(In epilepsy) :

(2) In people taking valproate : initial dose of 12.5 mg/day and the drug is increased by 12.5 mg every ten days or two weeks.

(3) In people taking carbamazepine somewhat larger initial doses and more rapid increases in dose are possible.
