Product Description

Varenicline is used along with education and counseling to helppeople stop smoking. It works by blocking the pleasant effects ofnicotine (from smoking) on the brain that make you want to smoke. Is also usedfor the treatment of dry eye disease.

Is used by adults to help stop smoking. To increase yourchance of success, use this medication with a stop-smonking program thatincludes education, support, and counseling. Quitting smoking lowers your riskof heart and lung disease, as well as cancer. Discuss the risks and benefits ofthis medication, as well as other ways to quit smoking (such as nicotinereplacement treatment), with your doctor.

Indication : 

Treatment of Nicotin dependence.

      Treatment of dry eye disease

Dosage : 

Asper Guidelines of Doctor.

  Or

Take thismedication by mouth after eating food and with a full glass of water.

Days 1 “ 3 :0.5 mg once daily

Days 4 “ 7 :0.5 mg twice daily

Day 8 “ End oftreatment : 1 mg twice daily

Dosing canusually start at 1-2 weeks before this date. Patients should be treated for 12weeks.

For patientswho have successfully stopped smoking at the end of 12 weeks, an additionalcourse of 12 weeks

  treatment at 1 mg twice daily may beconsidered for the   maintenance ofabstinence.
