An antipsychotic effectively controls mania and mixed episodes.

Olanzapine is an atypical antipsychotic that, in addition to its use in adults, is now indicated for the treatment of schizophrenia, and manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar I disorder in adolescents aged 13-17 years.

Shows appreciable efficacy in Huntington's disease with better side effect profile.

Newer antipsychotic agents such as olanzapine and aripiprazole may have adequate efficacy with a more favourable adverse-effect profile than older antipsychotics for treating chorea and psychosis.
